Exceptions¶

All exceptions derive from AtonixError. See Error handling for usage.

AtonixError ¶

Base exception for all Atonix library errors.

Raised when authentication fails or the API key is invalid (401).

Raised when the user does not have permission to access a resource (403).

Raised when a requested resource (Asset, Tag, etc.) is not found (404).

Raised when the API rate limit is exceeded (429) after all retry attempts.

Raised when the Atonix server returns an internal error (5xx).

APIError(

Raised for other non-success API responses or network-related issues.

Attributes:

`status_code`		The HTTP status code returned by the API.
`response_content`		The raw response body from the server.

QuerySizeError(
    limit: int, tag_count: int, timestamps_per_tag: float
)

Raised when a process data read exceeds the per-query point limit and chunking is disabled.

Also subclasses ValueError for backward compatibility with code that caught the bare ValueError previously raised in this situation.

Attributes:

Name	Type	Description
`limit`		Maximum tag x timestamp points allowed per query.
`tag_count`		Number of tags requested.
`timestamps_per_tag`		Estimated number of timestamps per tag for the requested range.
`total_points`		Estimated total points (`tag_count * timestamps_per_tag`).
